Default "Small Town Crime"..Great Movie

Just watched "Small Town Crime" and really enjoyed it. Had to wait for the price to drop for On-Demand.

The film stars John Hawkes (Deadwood, 3 Billboards, Winter's Bone" as a small town ex-cop with a drinking problem, a souped up / jacked up '70 Nova, and a great desire to get back on the police force.

He finds an injured girl by the road and sees her as a way to redeem himself. Instead he finds himself in the middle of something unexpected.

Notable co-star is Robert Forster who applies his usual laconic facade to a more complex character.

Small budget flick but well worth seeking out.

I added it to my watch list, I'll probably watch it this weekend. Your movie recommendations are usually good.

Pretty confident this one won't hurt my average. Funny too that one of the actresses with a small but very meaty part is Dale Dickey who appeared prominently in "Winter's Bone" with Hawkes. Odd how many actors.actresses end up working with one another so frequently.

I watched it Friday night. Very enjoyable, I've recommended it to a few friends.

The "Does that thing leak oil?" scene made me laugh so hard I had to pause the movie for a few moments.

I liked Dale Dickey's confrontation with the guy flashing his badge in the bar. She always plays the hard core female roles.

I eat at the Belgian Waffle joint in the movie quite a bit.
