I also was looking for something similar, i.e. bright sound with 24.75" neck.
I really like Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro (used price ~$1200). If that's above your budget, you can also look at Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro or Epiphone ES-339 Pro. But I eventually settled on Taylor T3/B. All of these models have coil-splitting capabilities (twang!) & 24.75"

Tele's are notoriously noisy (good name for a band.) If you like single coils and Fenders and want something very easy to play, I would suggest a Fender Mustang (24" scale) I have two of them and they are wonderful guitars,
