Maybe it’s just me, but did I miss the price?

Default String spacing...

Been looking for a J40 Reimagined for awhile mainly due to the neck profiile. The modified low oval with PA tapering intrigues me as my older, smaller hands struggle with my HJ38SG slight V. And it was the only reason I offloaded my Martin J41. I don't know if you've ever played either of these guitars but, if so, it would be great to hear how they compare. How do you find the neck profile & is the string spacing definitely 2 5/32" & not 2 5/16". Is that the standard spacing because I wasn't aware of that. And how do you find it for fingerpicking? Thnx.

Hey, Neil! I've never played the HJ38 or the J-41, but I had a J-41 Special years back. I had to let it go due to the modified V neck. It's just a matter of preference, many like it. I find the modified low oval & the PA taper perfect for my hand. I also like the neck on the Modern Deluxe series. Yes, the standard bridge spacing on most Martin models is now 2 5/32". I fingerpick exclusively, & don't find it too narrow. My other guitars are 2 1/4", & I can't tell the difference. I wouldn't be interested in shipping outside of the con.US, however.
I've been asked about trades. I'm interested in OMs or smaller, particularly the OM-28 Modern Deluxe or the 000-28 Modern Deluxe. I'm all ears if anyone has one of these to offer! The retail prices on the J-40 & the Modern Deluxe are identical.

I just put a fresh set of strings on my J40 last night and wow, what an incredible sounding guitar.
The Martin J-40 is a superb guitar.
Best of luck Steve.

Thanks Roy! You are correct! You & I both know the rich, full tone that the J-40 can fill a room with! I'm having second, third, & fourth thoughts!

Thanks for the info, Steve especially on the string spacing. Both the J41 (Special) and the Martin HJ38 Stefan Grossman models have the mod V profile but I can "tolerate" the HJ38SG simply because it's so darned good. But my gut says the reimagined J40 neck profile will be perfect for my mitts. Had I not just bought 2 guitars from the USA then I'd be looking to buy this one & ship it to one of my buddies within the USA, to forward it onto me. I'll keep on looking, I guess but I bet this one is a gem!!

Well, Neil, I got it out to play a little last night, & thought for sure I heard it whispering your name! And thanks, Kori, for the endorsement! Knowing your taste in guitars, that means alot!

Beautiful guitar! If I didn’t just start a new business…this would be a great compliment to my other guitars!! Good luck with the sale. These are incredible instruments.
