Default Sunflower Flower River Blues

I recorded a cover of Fahey's Sunflower River Blues a couple evenings ago.

I've been enjoying the Zoom Q2HD.

Very nicely done. Thank you. If you like acoustic blues, check out my collection called Fifty Shades of Blue here: http://www.verseandsong.com/song/acoustic-guitar/, where both notation / tab and mp3s are available.

Aaaaahhh this brings back sweet sweet memories... Fahey was my very first influence in fingerstyle.
Fahey, Lang and Basho were the guitarists who opened my eyes about fingerstyle (I know I know.. that was over 30 years ago ).

Yours is a good rendition. Got to be proud of it!

Default Sunflower River Blues tab

Does anyone have a tab of John Fahey's Sunflower River Blues that includes the first part of the "1974 version"? Fahey's book has a tab for most of the song (in Open C tuning), but not the introductory part. The first minute and twenty seconds or so are not in the widely available tab versions.

Thanks for your help. I am new to the Forum, so let me know if I am posting this in the wrong place.

Very nice. It’s a great tune. You did it justice.
Any criticism would be timing related. John would
do the same, towards the end of his life. Thanks.

Nice job! You even have the young, dapper Fahey look.
