Default Sorry, another PSA Vox Vox AC4C1-BL 4W 1x10, $219

Title says it all...

During my search for an amp in the last 6 months I was tempted by a used one of these for $5 more... Glad I didn't get it!

This "compact and fashionable package" looks like a lady's sewing machine.

Not sure what your point is (nothing on the link when I go in). Did you get one in the end? Love my AC4tv which has one less tune and just one tone knob.

I did get it as a small package bedroom combo. Saves me from hauling larger more cumbersome amps up two flights of stairs every day

It's a great one trick pony amp with a sweet breakup with which I can play almost any style without pedals.

I have one. I really never use it. It's nice, but too toy-like in its sound. A pedal (reverb or delay or chorus) helps beef up the sound.

I actually bought mine simply because of the color. Really did.

Toy like? Do you own other similar wattage amps? I have a silverface champ. The Vox is much more versatile since I can dial up gain without the (relatively) ear shattering volume I have to crank the champ to get some breakup. Sounds like you haven't used it enough to even break in the speaker.

I use it more than the champ...

And I am not looking for breakup. I only play through a crystal clear sound. The blue VOX AC4 gives that...just at a very low, tinny volume. But as I said, the AC4 does beef up with the addition of a pedal. A nice reverb and I get a non-toy-like sound. Just not very loud.

Are you sure it's not broken?

Different model. very cool. one less tone knob, no direct preamp control, but "wattage" switching. Very cool for those who want to be able to push the power section at very low volumes. I actually bought one of these months ago, but it arrived DOA, so I took it at as a sign to keep shopping. Found something "better" by every measure. But it cost three times as much as the $199 price offered today.
