Default String Spacing on Tele Question

So I received a custom neck from Musikraft, with a 1 3/4" nut width. I put it on a Baja 60s body, and the tone is great. Coming from acoustics, though, the string spacing at the bridge is a little too narrow for comfort. I think it's between 2 1/8" and 2 3/16". I know the 1 3/4" neck can accommodate 2 5/16" bridge spacing, but I can't wiggle that with the tele bridge as is.

Any suggestions? Anywhere I can find or order a tele body with 2 5/16" bridge spacing? Anywhere I can find a reasonably priced electric or archtop with 2 5/16" bridge spacing? Thanks.

I don't know if this would work for you, but I have a Crook tele with a hardtail bridge with six graphtech strat saddles that increases the string spacing compared to the standard tele spacing....

Vintage 3 barrel Tele is 2 3/16" or 2 5/32" depending where you look for a reference. The body and bridge are drilled for this string spacing. One option would be to buy a 6 saddle Tele bridge compatible with vintage spacing and glue a thin spacer on the side of the saddles. Assuming you want to add 1/8" or 125 mils, you would ideally use some kind of 25 mil noncompressible sheet for the shim material. Having the strings exactly centered will also be critical. If you go with a classic stamped steel design bridge you will be able to shim all the saddles from either side to push the strings exactly where you want them.

Play the guitar for a month, you'll probably adjust.

If not, the six saddle bridge is a starting point.
