Default TRIC Godin Archtop case - will my S6 Segull fit?

I have a CL line on a TRCI case for a Godin archtop.

I have to catch the subway for a ways to pick it up, and dont havea case for the guitar now.

Any ideas what the specs are?

Im thinking it will fit, but Im not comfortable riding the train with an unprotected guitar.

thanks

I think the Godin 5th ave case is made especially for the 5th ave. I wouldn't bet on your S6 fitting. But, I have no firsthand knowledge.

The TRIC case is advertised on Seagull's (not just Godin's) page.

Interior dimensions are as follows:

16 1/2" at widest part of lower bout
Upper bout 12 1/2"
Body length 20 3/4"
Total length 41 1/2"
Total depth approx 5 1/4"

I saw it there on the seagull page.

There are several different sizes...the TRIC case on the Seagull site probably fits the standard Godin dreadnought size. They sell a separate 5th Ave.-specific case.

+1 ... there are specific TRICs for each Godin acoustic.

Why not call Godin Guitars 514-457-7977 and ask them directly or email [email protected]. I have a 5th Avenue with a tric case. They are kind of neat in their own way.

I didn't realize this -- in my earlier post (#4), the dimensions I gave were taken from my 5th Ave TRIC.

so you are just wanting to take it on one train ride in the TRIC case or is it frequent (like a daily commute)?

I wont take it very often - but I have decided that beause this one wont fit, I ordered the padded gig bag from MF - its the Seagull bag, and it will fit my new S6.

I dont plan on travelling with the guitar very often, but my wife and I do take our trailer out a few times every summer, and I'd like to keep the guitar safe during the drive.
