Default For Those Interested in Oktavas

I've been using my Oktavas for all kinds of recording purposes just to see how they do. Turns out I like them the LEAST on guitar but they're killer on other applications.

Here's a recording I did of a jazz jam some players in my music department did. It's just the two mics in a music venue through an M-Audio profire into Logic pro.

What do you guys think?

I think I just don't have the ability to use them well. They do really great things when you can back them off but my room is really bad so I always close mic. Still really glad I got them

Live jazz can be harsh to listen to sometimes, but this recording sounds excellent!

Just listened again. Oktava should be using that on their website to show off their mics. Really, really good

Did you spend a lot of time fussing over the best position or just stick them up and go?

Thank ya!

For these, literally just set them up in ORTF on a table about 10 feet from the stage and hit record. For guitar I tweak constantly.
