Default Just bought a Kennedy OM

Hello All,

We have a local builder in the area by the name of Terry Kennedy. He's a retired physician and has been building full time for around 7 years.

I just bought an OM from him today at our guitar festival/summit.

Here's a link to an OM similar to the Kennedy that I bought that is for sale at the Podium, Minneapolis, MN.

Fit, sound, playability was phenomenal for an OM. I couldn't let it go.

Hey congrats! I've played one of his OMs before...a friend of mine who's done some recording at my place before has one...really nice guitar. Terry's a really nice guy also. Again, congrats & enjoy.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy it for years to come. His guitars appear to be really nice and seem extremely reasonably priced. Have you ever played one of his parlor models?

Kindly,
Danny

Hello All,

Thanks for the comments.

Terry Kennedy makes some great instruments at very reasonable prices for the quality of his work. Terry is also a very enjoyable fellow to deal with and just plain get to know.

It turns out that the picture in the link(the Podium) I provided is actually the OM that I bought. Terry had brought that guitar with him to our guitar festival.

Danny, regarding Terry's parlor models....

Yes I have tried one at the festival.

It had monster tone and volume for it's size. Just a breeze to play as well.

Those of us that played it went 'wow!'.

Pretty amazing little guitar.

Here's the link to the Parlor(I believe it's this one) that Terry brought to the festival.

Thanks All.

I went to visit with Terry today at Kennedy guitars.

Over the weekend, I had given some thought to giving this guitar back...which I could do...and having Terry build me one to my spec's....still an OM...changes would be mostly bling.

Terry was very open to hearing my concerns/thoughts....he is the best.

It was obvious Terry wanted what worked for me.

Gotta make my decision tomorrow re: keeping this OM but I pretty much know what I'm going to do. I'm going to keep this Kennedy OM.

This is a guitar that speaks to me everytime I pick it up.

I've had lots of guitars come and go....all good..some great guitars.

But only two instruments spoke to me in this way and this OM is one of those two.

So, for the second time....I just can't let this guitar go to someone else....gotta keep it.
