MCILROY A25C Walnut and Cedar Cutaway TRADE PENDING
Tr
For sale is this excellent condition McIlroy A25C. The price is $2,500, plus fees/shipping. The back/sides are a gorgeous, straight-grained Walnut with a Cedar top. As you may know, straight-grained tonewood is usually the best, in terms of tone. It has an Ebony fret board with Celtic Knots That mark the proper frets. This would be a very expensive option today, as Dermot only places one now, as the 12th fret marker. The head stock sports the original, Celtic Knot. IMHO, both the multiple fret markers and headstock design were the most elegant of McIlroy's history. It comes with the Hiscox Lite Flite case. There are several very, very small pinpoint marks that would not show up in the pictures. The sound is the best I have heard with a Walnut/Cedar combination. It has a 25.5 inch scale length and a 1 3/4 inch nut. Please note that McIlroy no longers goes to the expense of all these Celtic Knot inlays on the fretboard, nor the thicker wood binding on the board. The John Pearse arm rest can be removed and utilizes double-sided tape and leaves absolutely no marks. Thanks for looking and please email me with any questions. The spec sheet says AJ25C, your title says A25c. Big difference in size!

So, is it an A25c or an AJ25C?

Just as the label reads, it is an A25C. I explained to you that I posted a certificate of one of my earlier McIlroy's by mistake. Did you not receive it that email?

Sorry, no, I never got that one. And no one could possibly read the label in one of those thumbnails.

Is there a way to present some "real" pics? I don't think anyone will buy sight unseen. Just sayin'.

I'd love to "see" the instrument...
... if you would save/upload larger files in a higher resolution.

Hi, i just bought a new Mcilroy A25c for much more over here in europe. This is a very good price for a handbuilt and incredible responsive instrument! But you have to show the guitar in larger pics.
If you play fingerstyle with a gentle to medium touch and like DADGAD and other Open Tunings with a celtic sound character, this one is for you! |

It is a spectacularly responsive guitar! You are right about the alternate tunings. Thanks for the comment!

My thanks to several folks for helping me get these uploaded - even though they are small. For now! What an ordeal!!! I would not recommend Flickr to anyone!

I just finished playing this and it is wide open with its tone. Quite loud, even with a light touch, very responsive to the player. This is going to be two things:
1) A guitar I will wish I never sold 2) A guitar that will make someone want to play it and create a smile for the player. Fasten your seatbelts! |
