If you happen to speak Afrikaans, this video will make sense as well as look cool (Mervyn) Davis "Charmer" - $4200 - African kiaat neck and ebony fingerboard. " ... a completely new design. It is based on my ‘Charmer’ model which is a steelstring with a classical size body. This one features the obviously different aesthetic but more importantly also the SmoothTalker adjustable/removable neck. This means that action set up can be done without removing strings." DeLapp Style 2 2014 Carpathian / claro $3500 - Davis, CA luthier John DeLapp's blends a very Martin-y parlor-guitar build with very non-traditional wood pairing and end up with a very successful guitar. Quick, loud as anything and wonderfully fun to play. DMT / Santer round-hole inverted archtop 2013 Adirondack / mahogany $5000 - Dmitri Tenev and Lewis Santer wondered to themselves if an arched top needs to arch out. The answer comes back a ringing "no" in these two guitars. Unbraced, arched-in tops give these extremely light guitars a very new and cool sound. Come in and try them, or let me show you via Skype or Facetime. Some finish checking but the rest is preternaturally perfect. Original strap. Original cord. Original case. All in excellent condition. Spooky-cool. And it sounds and plays great. Fantastic details and appointments ... check out the tuner and heelcap photos. Huge, lush sound. Sooooo very Brazilian. Martin "CEO" 00 2012 Sitka / mahogany $2400 Martin OM-28V 2003 spruce / East Indian Rosewood $2500 Martin custom 000-12 fret 2009 Engelmann / koa $8000 - Martin's NAMM showoff guitar in 2009. "Elegant" is the word that leaps to mind. Martin D-18 1937 spruce / mahogany $15,500 - New neck reset and Plekking with stainless frets, 2 top cracks lovingly repaired. Was refinished in the 1960s or '70s by BC Rich himself. Tonally it's everything you'd expect from a pre-war D-18. And preposterously loud as well. A true banjo-slayer. Fantastic. Martin D-28 1963 Sitka / Brazilian $6500 - Lovely old beast. Great wood. Great voice. Martin HD-28 2001 rigged Hedges-style <was $2495> $2100!!! - An astonishing deal, if I do say so myself. A fantastic guitar, and a double pickup rig: Sunrise and FRAP. Martin D-41 2006 Sitka / Indian $3200 Maton "Messiah" D-cutaway 2011 spruce / rosewood $3000 - Great stage guitar. The onboard Maton AP5 preamp is a real winner. McCollum Baritone 2004 Italian spruce and Mad Rosewood. 27.5" scale, K&K pickup, 2004-ish $7200 National 'Aragon' archtop resonator 1938 spruce/maple <was $15,000> $13,000 Northwood MJ 200? Turner "Renaissance RS6-Deuce-STD" Custom Prototype 2012 myrtle / myrtle $3400 - The usual under-saddle pickup, but there's a cool single-coil / humbucker wired into this one, as well, which is voiced for bronze-wound strings. Turner "Renaissance RS6-FS" Custom 200? Sitka / maple $3250 - Waverly tuners with metal butterbean buttons, DTAR Timberline system with 18 volt preamp, gorgeous scarf-jointed neck, and a neck profile lifted directly from a '56 Tele, optimized for fingerstyle, with 1.75" at the nut. Fabulously comfortable to play, with lots of lovely abalone binding, as well. Included is a premium Reunion Blues gig bag. Yamamoto OMY 2013 Adirondack / cocobolo $3700 Yamamoto nylon-string crossover spruce/maple $3197 - The only nylon-string Tony's built. 1 ¾" at the nut. RMC pickup system, with both MIDI and ¼' outputs. Cool and unusual. Yamamoto Paulownia OMY 2014 $4000 - Everybody who's played one of Tony's paulownias has been pretty wild about it. Muriel Anderson, Thomas Leeb, Teja Gerken, Doug Young and Yours Truly among them. Yamamoto Baritone paulownia / EIR 2014 $5600 - Capo this one up to the 11th fret. No loss of tone.
