Default I know it's taboo, but which guitar looks the best..

Taboo topic, but we all obsess and love guitars here so why not ask, I even registered on this acoustic forum because I think you guys are more commonly known to have style unlike some of the "too much gain" and "too processed" electric player forums, yes indeed, I come with a warm heart and tone.

In all honestly which electric guitar from a rock&roll standing visually holds the most sex appeal, personally I think it's most likely a telecaster maybe a les paul.

From a rock&roll standing, not a modern, new age etc.. ibanez, prs, ehh..

Such a weird question, but I'll play along:

For a 1980's metal-vibe I would say an triple pickup Ibanez Destroyer.

For anything else, a white Gibson 6/12 SG double neck.

For Plain Jane, a blue Les Paul.

I find Strats to be the least attractive mainstream guitar.

I'm the opposite of Fazool, I find the Stratocaster to be the best looking guitar out there, followed by the PRS Custom. Of course, the Les Paul is classic. I think it's because of who we see playing them... Clapton is always playing a Strat. Stevie Ray..a Strat. Page usually played a Les Paul. Santana uses a PRS. I think the Telecaster is the ugliest guitar sold. Of course, a Black Widow with Lita Ford holding it 20 years ago is always awesome. I suspect the guitars we like visually are inspired by the musicians we like that play them...

For all around beauty, Lucille. BB King's custom black ES-355. I'm also an unabashed lover of the look of a Les Paul in cherry burst, with just a bit of figure to the top.

Speaking as an ex-Brooklyn boy you can't talk rock-&-roll looks (or tone) without bringing Gretsch into the equation - White Falcon, the Chet Atkins lineup, Double Anniversary (essentially a plain-Jane 6120 - and still a sleeper in the market), the Jet/Corvette solids, etc.; let's face it, to this day nobody else has been able to successfully pull off those color schemes on traditional hollow-body designs, and with the revival of most of their classic models a whole new generation of players is discovering their unique attributes a half-century after their heyday...

I'm really not an electric guitar guy.

For me semi-solids or semi-acoustics are neither one thing nor t'other.

However I do quite like the aesthetics of the 6120, but for me an electric is that simple slab with a neck - the Telecaster.

Hard to top a cherry red ES-335 as far as drawing visual attention.

The Telecaster is a "classic". Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder, besides the fact that you can have a variety of pickup combinations and wiring options that can't be done with any other guitar.

I'm with Fazool on his one. I have a Manhattan Midnight blue LP. Love it.

I have zero desire to own one, but the best looking to me, hands down, is the SG.

Second is probably the V. Surprisingly comfy sitting down.

As much as I love my Strats, the best looking electric, to me, is this:

Or, maybe it's not the best looking one out there but, rather, just the one I crave.
