Default LR Baggs out/ K&K in

I removed the LR Baggs Active I Beam pick-up out of ny Larrivee LO3 and installed a K&K Pure Mini in it's place. WOW, so much better. The wonky, woompy sound is gone. Doesn't feed back near as easily either. An 80% improvement.

There is one thing I don't understand and I'm not sure why. I have both these pickups installed in both a Larrivee and a Seagull Cedar Folk. The Seagull is considerably louder than the Larrivee. Any reasons as to why? Both K&K'S are passive systems.

Good choice! Congrats!

I'm thinking the thickness or design the soundboard could make a difference. Because placement is not critical.
