Default A couple Tele projects I'm working on...

While I'm waiting on certain things for my acoustic projects that had seemingly stalled (err, the green stuff that fits in the wallet) I have taken on a couple Tele builds. One of them is very special - the quilt maple, which is going to the nephew of my good friend Mike Phillips who passed away last January from pancreatic cancer. So I've taken every step I could to ensure that this will be a special guitar - down to the fully chambered body, wooden cavity covers, wooden pickup rings, and some beautiful components from Bill Callaham.

Thanks Steve... been working with this industrial coating KBS Diamond Finish. It's a one-part urethane that cures with the moisture in the air. My buffer is a 90 degree cordless VS drill with a 5/8"-11 adapter mandrel, and I run up to 3000 grit Trizact before buffing out... A little tricky however keeping constant slow speed on the drill.

Considering what you are using, that’s a pretty good end result. I would be happy with that and you’ve seen photos of my Painting and buffing Setup.
