Default Do you know this luthier?

Hey gang,
Check out this instrument.. It looks nice, but I have never heard of this maker/luthier. Anybody know anything? Thanks! Paul

If you're gonna be a luthier and you're going to "improve" on the best guitar you've played, why don't you at least make your own headstock shape?

I mean, I look at this and think "lawsuit guitar".

Now, with my unsolicited opinion thrown out there, I'll add that I've never heard of this guy. But it is a pretty guitar (other than his logo).

Looks like a cross between a Les Paul and a Nighthawk

No idea. Looks nice, though I imagine doing a re-fret with that binding will be a complete swine. I wonder why its for sale when the luthier built it for himself?

Thumbs up

Never heard of the luthier, but I like what I see. Very interesting neck body transition on the back.

I despise that gibson-style binding. It's the same on my 335 and it drives me banannas. (Love everything else about the guitar, though...) Why can't Gibson file their fret edges like everyone else?

I am thinking that there are only so many things to be done with a piece of the wood that size, and I don't think there is too much you could come up with that doesn't resemble some headstock already in existence.

I don't think it "resembles" the Gibson HS. It's pretty much an exact replica of it. Besides, check that other link and tell me this guy couldn't have come up with something original
