Default Free Strings: 3 Pack Martin SP PB Lights

I am giving away a new, unopened 3-pack of Martin SP phosphor bronze in light gauge. These will go to the person who replies to this thread with a guitar-related limerick (please keep it clean!) which makes me laugh the most or otherwise impresses me the most. I will be the sole judge...they are my strings, after all. I will review the posts tomorrow.

NOTE: I will mail to CONUSA only due to postage.

Again...please keep it clean! Have fun!

EXAMPLE:

There once was a man from Merrimack
Whose guit was 'hog and adirondack
He said "Almost as good
Is sitka and rosewood"
Though the mids have much less attack"

I'll give it shot...

There once was a man from Nantucket,
His D18, he would pluck it.
He really can't play,
But it's a heck of a day,
To act like a poser and bluff it!

There once was a man with a severe case of GAS

Through his hands many guitars did pass

Spend and try as he might

None of them pleased him just right

Then one day his wife came and said

"One more and you'll get a frying pan to the head"

Now on his head is a giant mass

With apologies to Edward Lear:

A guitar is a wonderful thing
Especially when you restring
Three Martin Lights
Months of delights
Basses thump and trebles will sing!

There once was a man who needed free strings

His guitars just sounded like old wretched things

He went to AGF forum

Where he thought he could score um

And now his guitar sounds so sweet it just sings!

There was a man who'd pick fights
upon the sight of strummed lights
"In mediums there's tone
for a player with backbone"
But for free, take .12s home he just might

Here is my entry:

A girl once owned a guitar.
Was told she could be a big star.
But strings, she had none,
Then Ravi gave her some.
But now has to learn the sitar.

Lightbulb And so it goes...

A lad from Detroit
rode the train all night-
pulled into Nazareth,
for a drink and a bite.
He spotted a building
with Martin sprayed on the door,
and thought to himself,
"just what I'm looking for"!

I love the sound of new strings especially when they're free.

I will put them on a Martin and tune them down to D.

I'll strum them till they're old.

I'll play them when it's hot.

And and play them when it's cold.

Are these magical strings you propose?
Are they able to make my talent grow?
My guitars sound like cat's butts
I strung them up with cat gut
and my fingers are made of dough

There once was a quiet musician.
No sound did she make (I'm not kidding!)
Though she strummed day and night,
No treble nor bass was in sight,
for the strings on her gee-tar went missing!

I once told a yarn for some strings
They were shiny and taunt with some zing
but the sound of my fingers
squeaked without timbre
I commenced with some fried chicken wings

“Free strings,” said he on the forum,
“Times three, just a rhyme or two for ‘em.”
Ne’er before did I play
Wires from Naz’reth P-A,
So I posted in hopes I might score ‘em.

But what’s that you say ? Only for USA ?!
