Thanks. The clean sound of this amp is amazing. The Gretsch sounds great thru it. The Bugera is quickly becoming one of my favorite amps because of it's sound. I have no intentions of changing tubes or speaker....it sounds great the way it is. I resisted getting a Bugera a long time, but now that I've tried it...wow....

The usual reaction when someone actually takes the time to try one, instead of relying on the early bad press or mistakenly thinking "Bugera = Behringer"...

BTW, speaking as a fellow Gretsch owner there are some nice British Invasion tones to be had from both the V22 and V5. Bearing in mind the upgrades I mentioned, I can get "NME '65" Vox AC50 tones in pentode mode and pre-Top Boost AC30 in triode (that Swamp Thang speaker sounds huge - hits like a 2x12") - your amp will sound different, so take the time to play with the Mid-Boost/EQ and various combinations of channel/master gain and volume until you find something you like; as for the V5, I performed similar upgrades (Preferred Series tubes/Eminence 820H speaker - think mini-Cannabis Rex here) shortly after I bought it in February. Even in stock form you're going to like this one - since it operates only in class-A triode you're squarely in early Vox territory (I've A/B'd it with the current low-power Vox AC combos, and IMO the V5 does it better); teamed it up with my Gretsch E-matic 5622T-CB when my band played a Stones tribute at a small club back in September - close your eyes and you'll think you're Brian Jones with his puke-green '64 Gretsch Double Annie...

A friend of mine has an earlier V22 and it's his main goto amp now. He also uses a Bugera extension speaker and highly recommends it for a balanced sound across the stage.

I just ordered an extension cabinet for the Bugera. 80 watts, 12" Turbo sound speaker.

Addictive little buggers, aren't they...

Well my buddy makes sense...for a balanced sound across the stage, two speakers would be necessary. So getting the extension speaker is a must.

FYI----Sweetwater has covers for the Bugera's very reasonable.

I learned the value of amp covers last week while it was pouring rain before and after my gig...the cover saved my amp from getting all wet.

Can I plug one guitar into the bright channel and the other into the normal and here them both or is it only one or the other?

I haven't tried but I'm guessing you can plug two guitars into it. I read some where that one guitar would sound normal and the other would sound a little brighter, this would be good a guitar that is a little dark.

I read the manual closely and could not confirm the ability to play two guitars. I also am confused about the pedal changing channels.

Thanks MM,

I get married in February so I sort of live in two places right now. My daughter and her guitarist boyfriend are coming for thanksgiving and I wanted to accommodate two guitars. I already left to come where I will be thanksgiving and only brought one amp. I wil just ask him to bring an amp.

Thanks a bunch for testing. Now we all know.

Still don’t have my pea sized brain wrapped around the channel pedal though.
