I really like All the Time in the World. Original tune?
Seems a little strange to see one of you sitting and one standing.....

I play in a classical stance using a foot stool typically. I don't see that aesthetic aspect of our performances changing in the near future for practical purposes, but the feed back is certainly appreciated.

Unfortunately the quality of the recording makes it hard to really analyze the songs in other than a general way. So here are my impressions and that is all they are in the end.
The things I noticed were in the first video it sure sounds like the two guitars are not in tune with each other. In the other videos it seems like the basic tone or sound of the guitars is too similar to each other. This may be due to the audio quality of the recordings. Also the vocal seems distorted, maybe too much bass boast or volume ? Just my impressions. I think the biggest thing is the quality of the recording, I'd love to hear your work with a better quality recording. Hope this is useful in some way. |

All the Time in the World is the best. I agree with the comments above and would also add that it's important that the vocals should not compete with the guitars. Drop the guitars' volume down under each vocal phrase and then come up and fill between phrases.

No lack of talent for sure.
I think the vocals need to come up in the mix. I would bring the singers guitar down a bit. The third song was the best I thought. I know nothing.

This is the most feedback we've received on one of performances, so thanks so much!
As so many of us had to, our sound situations are often less than forgiving with soundboards operated by cafe or bar owners and the feedback we often get is "guitars loud, bring vocals up." We played a nice little gig at a cafe recently and just used our acoustic amps and received compliments on the sound, so having some more control over the audio helped. The friend who so kindly records our shows also mentioned he'd like to jack into the soundboard sometime and maybe bring a real camera. Like so many folkies, we rely on the kindness of friends and family for promotion and you kind folk who offer your feedback. Trivia: We almost dropped "all the time..." because we were getting sick of it. That was the first show we'd played it at in awhile and we were shocked at how nicely it came out.
