Many times. My favourite time was James Morrison, John Morrison, and Tommy Emmanuel playing at Harbord Diggers a few years ago.

Best regards from (usually) sunny Sydney.

Vince:

Tommy plays Maton Acoustic Guitars(Australian) for elec. Fender Telecaster. I don't think offically he has any thing to do w/ Taylor Guitars, however in Winter 2001 Wood & Steel there is a picture of him playing a "Living Jewels Series" on page 9.

I think Tommy plays both styles. He can finger/thumb pick with anyone. His main influence was Chet Atkins (who dubed Tommy a "Certified Guitar Player").

Tommy played with Chet on his very last project "The Day Finger Pickers Took Over The World" in 1997.

Yes, the Chet Atkins influence is very clear in Tommy Emmanuel's style.

He's a great guitarist and a nice guy to boot. His detractors liken his composition genre to "elevator music". A little unkind I think.

He endorses Maton (Australian) accoustics and Maton has a "TE" high-end series.

Unfortunately Matons aren't a patch on Taylors with respect to tone and build-quality imho.

Yours

Chris
