Question Sheer Speculation

The Dan Crary Signature Model has been dropped from the Taylor lineup. Still, Dan remains a regular clinician. In some discussions of his appearances there have been statements that he has been playing a 16 fret (read baritone) Taylor. Could it be a new model in the making? Is discontinuing the current model a means of clearing the decks before introducing the latest thing?

I don't know... I do know that the old DCSM wasn't a huge seller (or aesthetically pleasing, as I've heard people mention.) Maybe there is something new in the works. Hmmmmmm...
