Default M-1 active question

I was just wondering...due to the poor placement of the volume wheel on the active m1 would it be possible to put the pickup in upside down and reverse the pole pieces? If any of you more knowledgeable than me care to weigh in it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I have seen a recommendation to reverse the polepieces if you want to use an M1 left-handed - so if it works for that, I don't see why it wouldn't work for your purpose.

yes i believe you can.. i've seen some pics of it.. but i think the reason ppl change the orientation wasn't so much the vol as much as it was the fingers/nails clipping the pole pieces so they got in the way.. they switche it around and it was fine after that
