Hey and thanks for checking out my guitar for sale! I am selling a used but great condition Takamine EG416s-vs parlor size acoustic/electric guitar. This guitar has a solid spruce top with a glossy vintage sunburst finish, rosewood sides, and a 3-piece rosewood/quilted maple/rosewood back. This takamine also has a mahogany neck (I believe, but not fully sure) and a rosewood fretboard. Nut width is 1 11/16". It also has the Takamine TP4T preamp system built in that has a 3-band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble), a chromatic tuner, and a gain (Volume)control. This guitar plays like a dream and SOUNDS amazing!! Beautiful tight bass, defined and focused mids, and shimmering highs, even while fingerpicking! The guitar is all original except for the bridge pins which I have swapped out from the old plastic ones to more tone-ful buffalo horn pins. Surprisingly, this adds a lot of great tone to this guitar and helps make it shine even more! I have taken extremely good care of this guitar. I have only taken it out of my house a half dozen times, if that. When I wasn't playing it, I stored it in its case in my closet with my other guitars, instruments, mics, etc. I also want to add that this guitar is extremely hard to find since it is discontinued. Average price for just the guitar and a gigbag if you can find it is $450-$600. And even then there is no way you are going to find one with the deluxe hardshell case that is built for the takamine parlor sized and archtop guitars. This case itself would probably run you about $130-$150 IF you can find one anywhere. I got lucky and bought it brand new from the takamine guitar forum. All in all this is a great guitar! only selling it because I am looking for a different style and sized bodied guitar.
