2002 Martin 000-40SPR
For sale is a wonderful limited signed addition instrument Martin introduced in 2001. The guitar is one of 87 made. The guitar has a Sitka front and mahogany back and sides with tortoiseshell like binding and a 40 series rosette.
I was fortunate to have a 000-18 with an Adirondack top along with this guitar and kept this one over the 000-18 because of the projection and tone. I’m selling to fund another purchase, and I continue to have second thoughts on selling this guitar; it really is wonderful. Not interested in trades at this time. The guitar is not mint, there are a couple of dings on the back of the neck and some slight wear around the sound hole. It is set up extremely well for both fingerstyle and picking, which I attempted to show on the video. There are not many of these for sale based on the collectability and the amazing tone of these instruments. $2,800 OBO shipped CONUS. Paypal gift, cleared check or cashiers check. Many references! Very nice guitar. I looked it up on the link and it looks like a modified V shape neck with one and 13/16" nut width. Figured someone would ask.
