Sure do -- very nearly all the time... 714-CE-LTD -> Baggs Para DI -> Pod Pro -> House.
The only time I have used my Taylor-supplied cable is for recording (that is, direct to the board.) |

Really? hmm... maybe I should try it both ways... so you don't reckon that I should plug direct to the system with the Taylor supplied cable?

I use the house DI only if there's no snake for me to plug into, or the board is too far away to plug in directly. Always sounds better if I can plug the supplied cable into a XLR jack, though (but not on an amp).

I prefer the sound of the ES through a Baggs DI.

I use the Baggs Para DI with the ES too, and I love the sound. It gives me a bit of EQ control (which I use more often then not), and I find it gives a bit more uumphh to the sound (which I like). Sounds great.
If you have the means, it's fun to A/B the two. I did that with the balanced Taylor cable, and unbalanced through the Baggs Para DI, and the Baggs came out the winner for me. See what you like! :-) |
