Default You Listen - something new

Here's a little bit of some new stuff I've been working on using vocals as a layer and letting a melody sort of bubble up within the song.
https://soundcloud.com/bluesjr/you-listen

This is another new one where I ran the vocal layer through the awesome Red Panda Particle guitar pedal and got sort of a "steampunky" sound. Acoustics are all from Big Hollow and the electric is a custom handbuilt from Waltz (Japan).

Thanks for listening!

Really enjoyed "You Listen". Reminiscent of some of David Crosby's "If I Could Only Remember My Name" album which is a favorite of mine. Nice recording with guitars and vocals sounding great! Very nice!! I wasn't quite certain if I liked the Red Panda Particle effect on the vocals on "Day Flavor". I like your voice too much without the processing.

Loved the ethereal sounds, quite trip and very relaxing. I've been thinking about trying out something different with vocals in Garageband and this has inspired me.
On another note, I'm really grateful that you have given us the platform to share all guitar-related stuff.
I've just uploaded my first track to Soundcloud and will try and post in this section. Thanks again and keep 'em coming!

Both pieces sound great, J.R. -- although I really like what you did with the Red Panda...

J.R.,
I got rained out at gig today with all the hurricane stuff goin' on here in Fla...so I came home, put on my headphones and listen to both of these as I chilled & travelled out of boundaries with your musical creations. Very nice bro, you got mad skillz!

Thank you folks - I really appreciate the kind words. Mau, that Red Panda has inspired a few other demos aside from this one. It's one funky creative tool along with the other guitar pedals I've been squeezing vocals through.

Interesting technique and arrangements, JR. It is like Enya meets guitar man!! Very soothing sounds! I like what I hear and will be interested to hear how this develops or grows over time.
