You've been in my prayers and this song sounds like a gracious answer.
Thank you so much, Eric. You are very kind and I thank you for your prayers and friendship. Deb and I gigged for many years with just a 12 string so, this song and bare-bones style isn't far from our roots! I'll try to post more over the next few months as I continue my recovery.

What is the guitar? Very nice!
Thank you, very kindly! I appreciate that. The guitar is a 2007 Taylor GA4.

Bob, this is one of my favorite S&G standards, and you really did her proud!

Godspeed on your continued recovery.

Thank you, Jeremy! It's been very frustrating not playing and recording...I think it is actually therapeutic to play but I still don't have enough stamina to play longer than a half hour or so. I used to be able to play for hours at a time so, I need a lot of practice to get back into shape!

Thank you, Bud! I like multi-tracking but, I think it will be awhile before I am up to doing any. So, in the meantime, I will probably be posting very lean renditions of songs.

You really captured the spirit of the song. This was the perfect song for going solo. Really fantastic job on guitar and vocal.

I really like those early S&G songs.

Great job, Bob!

noman
Many thanks, Noman!! Your comment is very encouraging.

Wow Bob. So glad to hear you are on the road to recovery.

Very nice performance here. I can't spot the flubs you mentioned. I only hear a smoothly played and recorded song.

I'm really glad that you are seeing progress. As much as I love your mixed productions, I really prefer this simple style - it's honest and pure. Great job on this, it sounds very sweet.

Sooooo you sure picked a pretty song for your come back! Your finger work sounds great. It's interesting because after listening to so many of your productions, I can hear EXACTLY where you'd layer in the harmonies. I really like this "as is" for so many reasons! Welcome back Bobbyio, every note sounds just a bit sweeter I'd say!
Thank you, Roy!! I sure appreciate your kindness!

Thanks, Ernie, you are very kind! I guess it is like all creative things we do...we know where our flubs are so they stick out to us more than to others! LOL

Thank you so kindly, Steve! As I mentioned in previous comments, I'll try to do more of this type of recording in the coming months. The multi-track productions are a lot of work that I am just not up to doing right now so, lean arrangements will be the rule for awhile! Thanks again for listening and commenting.

Thank you, Paul! Music has been a major therapy and comforting factor in my life for more than 45 years...it is amazing what it has been able to do! I think making music is the best medicine for some of us!! LOL!
