What's the guitar-related thing you bought and never used?
I have this weird fear or phobia of buying things just to turn around and never using them. I know of people who have dropped a lot of money on [you name it], maybe use it once, and then into the closet it goes...until forever.
I think for me, I bought one of those $1 elastic capos. I think I used it once or twice, saved my money, and went out and bought Kyser (before I knew about Shubb). Have you ever bought anything guitar-related, maybe used it once (or not at all), and never used it again? |

But seriously, a manual tuner winder I bought threatened to lacerate headstocks, so it goes unused. |

+1 I'm an old head, but I was inspired by the looping brilliance of Randolf Arriola. So I ran out and bought a Godin and a Boss RC-300 loop station last year. The RC-300 user manual is *THIS* thick. I looked at it, scratched my head and concluded it would probably be wiser to devote that 'learning curve' to learning music. The Godin though...that I love.

Glass slide, thumb pick, and yes, also an elastic capo (I used to use one in the 60s!). Capos have come a long way.

I have a slide that sits waiting for me. Somewhere along the line I had planned on teaching myself slide guitar. It was much harder to get a good sound then I thought. Decided to go back and practice fingerpicking instead. At some point I will give it another go.

I've got a couple of pricey thumb picks and some finger picks.
I pull them out once in a great while, and remember quickly that I'm never going to be comfortable using them....

Slide
Haven't touched it, except to remove from the package. When my instructor and I get into open tuning stuff, I suspect I'll get a little use out of it... |

Polish. Bought it in 1973 with a D-35 but never used it. It was Martin guitar polish. I still have it somewhere around this place. Roomed with another player who used it a lot. Stuff stank.
