Default Sports players you wish you could have watched?

Who are some of the sports figures you would have liked to watch in their prime? Perhaps you saw them play but you were too young to remember or you saw them play at the tail end of their careers. Try and keep the list to under 5 people even though we could list dozens of names.
  • Bobby Orr

Rocky Marciano and Duke Snider are the first 2 to pop into my head. Duke was active in my lifetime, but as he retired when I was 8, I never saw him in his prime.

I would have loved to have been at the Chamrousse Ski Resort , near Grenoble France in 1968 and watch Jean-Claude Killy win all three Olympic Alpine Skiing Gold Medals , one of only two people in history to have ever done so.

Although I started watching pro football in 1967 at the age of 12, I would have liked to have started earlier and been able to really appreciate YA Tittle, Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Jim Kelly, and many many others. Also the Lombardi Packer teams of the 60s too. I just caught the end of that reign.

Barry Sanders. I was too young to appreciate him.
