Vintage V300 Mahogany. Played 3, bought 1. £150 as part of a bundle deal. Played alongside a 64 Guild M20, it holds its own and then some.

One of those mass produced budget guitars where all the good stuff aligned as it was made. Incredible guitar irrespective of price.

Yamaha FS800.
After buying and selling numerous larger, pricier guitars.

I buckled down, worked on my playing. Decided what I was looking for.

Thrilled!

GC listed a used 'Martin solid spruce top acoustic guitar' for $225 on their website. I called up the store to ask about it and turns out it was an older USA made 000X1. It was a great deal for what it is and with GC's 30 day return policy it was a no brainer. I bonded with it right away

Found a laminate top Ibanez AEG10E acoustic that sounds pretty darned good plugged in. But it needed a lot of work. I wanted to practice my repair skills on it and got it for $20 with a gig bag. It definitely needs new tuners.....

Breedlove pursuit concert Bubinga. Currently on eBay, brand new, for $350. Solid spruce top. Bubinga back and sides are a laminate. Beautiful guitar, amazing fit and finish. With nice gig bag. $350 includes shipping. Highly recommend!

I went shopping for a cheap(ish) guitar recently and the only two which drew my attention were Martin Junior and Sigma DR28. This particular Martin sounded much better than the one I tried a few months back but I was more inclined to buy a normal size guitar.

The Sigma looked like my (sold now) Martin D28, sounded great, not like a typical cheap guitar and had a buz-free, low action. The price was also lower than the Martin so I brought home the Sigma DR28.
After a week still very excited about its sound and playability.

I'm still liking my Simon & Patrick MJ (mini jumbo) that I bought at the pawn shop a few years back for something like $179.

I went to my local GC a few weeks ago to try out some dreads. I tried many from about $300 to a Martin HD28 at almost $3k. Didn’t want to spend much right now unless I found something really exceptional. What I did find was a pretty darn nice guitar in the Yamaha A1M-VN. It was the only one in stock and when they checked availability at the warehouse they said they were back ordered and would take a few weeks. The floor model had a few minor scuffs that didn’t bother me for a guitar at that price point so after some negotiating with the store manager they agreed to knock $100 off so I took her home. I’m really becoming quite a fan of Yamaha guitars. After a year of ownership, I’m still very impressed with my FS800 I paid only $199 for new.

Same here, wanted an easy playing, good sounding inexpensive guitar. Just got an FS800 last week. I love the Yamaha necks

I was poking around a while back and read a thread on how good Alvarez AD60's sound for the money. Wasn't really looking to buy anything but was looking on GC online a few days later. Noticed a Alvarez AD60 in good condition for 149 dollars, just happened to be at GC about 25 min from my house. I had 50 guitar gear coupon/points from my gear card at GC. Guess where I headed.

Walked in, there it was in the Acoustic room. Had one little nick that is hard to find on the headstock. Buckle scratch on the back almost to small to see. No fret wear, neck was straight. It think it was 2012 or so guitar. Looks like someone bought and didn't play it.

Used my 50 dollar gear card credit and walked out with a pretty nice sounding guitar for 100 bucks. I took it to Danny D's and had a set up done and its not only my cheapest guitar, but maybe my best sounding guitar. I wish I could play as good as it sounds. I think it sounds as good or better than my Seagull. The girl that checked me out said she even thought about buying it.

Lets hear about your good cheap guitar deal.

Thanks Billy
The AD60 sounds and plays like it should cost three times what it does. Here is a new one sitting at $125 right now. For real.

That would be my Recording King 000 12-fret. $229. from Musician's Friend as a "blemished" instrument -- without a mark on it inside or out. Nice little box.
