Wow! Congrats on your new Emperor! I bought the very same guitar almost at the very same time you got yours! About 2 weeks ago. Mine is a 2005 model made in the Peerless factory in Korea. They are so hard to find around here and one came up for sale used so I had to buy it. The price was right too. They are sweet guitars. I am currently using D'Addario Jazz Light roundwounds .012-.052 with a wound 3rd string so it feels like I am playing an acoustic guitar.
Here's a pic of mine sitting next to a Godin Kingpin 5th Ave that belongs to a friend of mine. I know it's a bad pic..
