Always though the last line of Dave Van Ronk's 'Garden State Stomp' was a keeper:

Navesink, Shabakunk, Ongs Hat, Jumbo
Wortendyke, Waterwitch Park, Blue Ball, Ringoes
Matchaponix, Delawanna, Wawayanda, Timbuctoo

Old Cody Junior took me over
Said, "You're gonna find the world is smolderin'
And if you get lost
Come on home to Green River"

Across the field you see the sky ripped open
See the rain through a gaping wound
Pounding on the women and children
Who run
Into the arms
Of America

For long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race toward an early grave

Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Mother, did it need to be so high?

Hey you! don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall.

He came dancing across the water
Cortez, Cortez
What a killer.

Now some folks say that we should be
Glad for what we have
Tell me would you be happy in Village Ghetto Land

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes

That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball.

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Just a few from Floyd, and The Who, with a Stevie Wonder, U2 and Neil Young thrown in for good measure

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true
Or is it something worse?

Well, sometimes I think that you're just too sweet to die
Ah, sometimes I think that you're just too sweet to die
And other times I think that you ought to be buried alive

I don't get why that would be considered a great ending line. Great song, but great line?

To be fair there have been a bunch like that where I don't see why it would be considered a great line. I guess it's all in the eye (or ear) of the beholder.
