Arrow Amazing '08 Stephen Kinnaird Custom CS Sunburst Straight-Grain Cocobolo *SOLD*

Amazing '08 Stephen Kinnaird CS Sunburst, in Engelmann and old straight-grain Cocobolo. Steve replied himself in an email; "That was a special one for sure." And I will be kicking myself, for listing this one. Although there are 1 or 2 guitars on this forum, that I'm interest in! “The grass is always greener." Right? I may remove this for sale ad if my Goodall baritone sells first.

Gorgeous woods, sunburst and slotted headstock, with Dark Brazilian Rosewood backstrip and bindings. The CS shape is like a plump OM giving it better bass response and overall resonance. The Cocobolo also enhances the bass thump! The tone is just amazing! Recently, I've tuned it to DADGAD where it sings wonderfully as well!

Recent fret work and setup by Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta and it plays like new. Nut 1 13/16", scale 25.5", spacing, 2.25", LB 15.5", depth 4.38".

For Sale *SOLD* shipped insured to ConUS. I may accept a partial trade, including a fine 12-fret 00 or a nylon crossover, resulting in a large cash portion my way. PM or email me to discuss your needs and serious offers. I will refrain from reducing my asking price on this one, as many here have done. You can have one built for $2000+ more, but Stephen would never be able to supply Cocobolo like this set, that was just sitting in his shop for decades! Wonderful pictures of this beauty to behold:

Thank you Robert. Played a couple DADGAD tunes last night. Then I tuned it back to standard. She felt so great, I played another 2 hours.

Enjoyed spending some time talking with Stephen at Woodstock a couple weeks ago and playing his guitars. They were hands down the highlight of the show for me....Robert

Smile Thanks Paul and Robert!

Yes Paul, I certainly may regret this, but I now look at spending a brief love affair with the guitars that pass through my life!

Robert, I have not met Stephen in person. I certainly would like to meet him and Ryan one day soon! I may drive through Nacogdoches one day soon. I have called Stephen twice about guitars he had built and it usually turns into an hour-long fun conversation.

Happy Thanksgiving to all y'all AGF'rs!

Just have to say that if I did not already own a Stephen Kinniard CS that I truly love, I would sell the ranch for this one. Love the wood combinations and the appointments. Stephen is really at the top rung of the ladder in my opinion. No affiliation with the seller, just sayin'....

I really like this guitar!

Another thing we have in common. Reminds me of high school and college...love 'em and leave 'em . Gorgeous guitar. Best of luck with your sale!

Wink Another famous Stephen once said,

“Love the one your with!”

This evening I’m lovin’ my McAlister and later tonight I should love this Kinnaird once again n again! It’s not like this is going anywhere listed on this classified!

Johnny hasn’t mentioned that I have become very allergic to Cocobolo. So not only is this a special set of the wood, but we don’t build out of Cocobolo any more. I don’t know if that adds collectors’ value, but it definitely puts in a very limited group.

Smile I’ve listed this one briefly twice now...

and each time Ryan has commented, I’m thinking twice on selling. Speak up now on this special, one of a kind custom, or forever go without!
