I"m winning
I like to listen to older songs to try and get an idea if they would be good in an acoustic version. I was just giving a listen to I'm winning, by Stevie Winwood. I listened to that one, Santana's version, and Kieth Urban's version. Urban is good, but he's no Clapton. But I digress. I think it would be a good tune to do with a couple acoustic guitars. I realize you all can't hear what I hear in my head, but I think it could work. Am I alone in this?

No reason it should not
I find the world is my oyster when it comes to any true classic tune, virtually all can be fashioned into nice acoustic git tunes. One simply has to not be tied to trying to reproduce note for note or exact arrangement . Just try to recreated how the original makes you feel. I have been playing my arrangement of "You Can All join In" almost since it was released. It is a great acoustic git tune. It is always a crowd pleaser An interesting twist is the vocal is panned right

If you're doing a vocal version of "I'm Winning" and can hit those high notes, I think it would make a good acoustic song.
Kevwind... A man after my own heart. I was about 14 when that Traffic album came out. That album, Cream and Hendrix led me out of the bubblegum music world into the world of real music.
