Among the very best out there IMO - I've never played a bad one; kinda makes you wonder, though, why so many of the other guys - not to mention Gibson (and recently Guild) - charge as much as they do...

I've read a few positive reviews on Harmony Central and I note that Mike gets a good, if brief, write-up in "Acoustic Guitars: The Illustrated Encyclopaedia", but I was wondering if any forum members have had any hands-on experience of Mike's guitars. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I have a 17" Campellone Special - it's my #1 guitar. Good acoustic and electric sound. The pickup and tone/volume controls are mounted on the pick guard, and connected to the end pin jack via a cable w/RCA (phono) connector. To convert it too a strictly acoustic instrument, you can unplug the pick guard and remove it (and all electronics) completely. Not sure why you would want to, except to satisfy a purist aesthetic. I think that Mark's guitars are one of the best deals around on a hand made arch top.

Mine has a floating pickup, so it works great both ways. The pickup is set up to work with bronze strings.

Does this mean the amplifier cable connects at the pickguard? Do you have a photo you could share?

Thanks in advance.
