Default NGD: Taylor GS Mini AA Koa Road Show Ltd, modified!

I have had this for a few months, but wanted to do some minor modifications before taking pictures..

I added :
-Gotoh 510 mini tuners (Aged Gold, slightly darker than the more common Antique Gold)
-Ebony Bridgepins w abalone
-Ebony Truss Rod Cover
-Bone Saddle
-Black strap pin

Obviously the top has some of the nicest grain Ive ever seen on a Mini! Even without gloss it really shows up..

Huge thanks to Paul at Tobias Music for this beauty!

VERY nice, tasteful refinements!

Is the strip down the middle an actual lighter color, or is it the effect of photo flash? Likely actual color, just thought to ask. Awesome look!

I would have given that koa rating a few more "A"s. Very nice!

It is lighter - it’s sapwood. You see this a lot more these days as manufacturers practice sustainability and use wood that traditionally has not been used.

Thanks. My cocobolo topped Emerald doubleneck has a sapwood strip but because this is koa and I haven’t noticed a more silvery sheen in it before (kind flame maple looking), I thought to ask. I find sapwood streaking gorgeous.
