Default Jam 200!

I recently bought a Schertler Jam 200 - always wanted a Jam 150 and figured why not go for the new model. I have to admit there was a learning curve - I have been using an AER Compact/60. The AER is pretty much plug and play, the Jam took a bit of tweaking. But once I got the guitar settings right and started using a condenser mic for the vocals, I'm blown away. The clarity is incredible, especially the vocals. My guitars also sound great - I like the bottom end. I think my AER might be collecting dust, don't get me wrong the AER is still an incredible amp for it's size, but the Jam is really outstanding.

Good to hear you like it. I have a Jam 150 and an AER c 60 as well. I like the Jam for vocals/mic and the AER for the guitar. Play it well!

Congrats. I have the 200 as well. I really like how vocals sound too, and even better is that when I plug my guitar in, it sounds like an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound (in my mind/opinion anyway)!

I agree - the guitar has a true acoustic sound. I did have a bit of a time getting used to the settings, but now I'm sold.

For the JAM users, I'm curious if you'd share your thoughts and opinions about which channel and input you've found to work best for your guitar-
-Channel 1 w/ sweepable mids and 1/4 inch input, phase switch
-channel 2 with the resonance notch filter and choice of 1/4 inch and XLR inputs
-channel 3 with sweepable mids and XLR input

Would love any info that anyone can share.

Thanks very much

I've been using Channel 1 for my guitar and Channel 2 for the vocals. I also use the "warm" setting for my guitar (adds a nice smooth sound) I've done several gigs with the Jam and have had a good response from my sound person (my wife)!!

I also use channel 1 for guitar. I mostly run a 000-18 retro through it. I'd love to know what settings others have dialed in for their own use. It never hurts to give things a try and A/B compare.
