Default Justin Moore Dirt Road

Hello I am new to this forum and a medium level guitar player. I was trying to learn Dirt road and got the chords down but I can’t figure out the strumming pattern this is the video I’m trying to sound like. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on the strumming pattern. Thanks you

It's obviously downstrokes on all the 8ths, but he's accenting a cross-rhythm, like so:
Code:
 > . . > . . > . |. > . . > . > . |
 Am G C
|1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & |1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & |
 D d d D d d D d d D d d D d D d
Accents shown by ">" and the big D's.

Thank you Jon for your reply. But due to my lack of experience I’m not sure exactly how to read it. I was wondering if you could dumb it down a little bit for me. Thanks

Something else you can try is on the youtube video , click the little gear icon (with the red HD box) and click "speed" then choose .75 or .5--- and the vid will slow down, then just play along and try to match what he is doing

The down strums shown with a capital D are played louder than the other down strums shown with a lower case d.

I tried the strumming pattern with the correct chords but it still sounds off is he a half step down tuned? Or palm muting? Or both?

You might be able to use your tuner to see where the video is tuned.
