Pick a Sport - what rule change would you make?

Football: eliminate running the clock down by kneeling. Play the game until the clock reaches zero. None of this 1:30 left on the clock and the leading team just eats the clock away by having the qb take a knee. A lot can happen in those last two minutes.

NBA: Institute a Penalty Box. If someone commits a flagrant foul, play 5 on 4 for 2 minutes...

I would eliminate the NFL, MLB & NBA.

After college, everyone grows up and goes to work.

I would give 100 points to each team in an NBA game and cut the game time to 5 minutes.

I would end "extra innings" in baseball and decide games with a Homerun Derby

Baseball: Every other batter runs the bases in the opposite direction, and it's OK to have two runners going in different directions on the same base. Now that would make for some interesting plays.

Football: allow rosters to have 60 people and 55 on game day. The players are too big and top players hurt too frequently. This would allow for some redundancy at key positions. Many teams are eliminated from contention early in the season because of bad luck and injuries, not talent or coaching.

I would agree with this, and extend the "man short" penalty to all fouls, thereby doing away with free throws. Make the man short period 30 to 45 seconds (?). Also, do away with the seemingly infinite number of timeouts NBA teams get.

Make the field smaller, get rid of some players, make the net bigger, put up walls so the ball can ricochet off it and keep the ball from going out of bounds every 30 seconds !…

For Formula 1 racing, no 2 compound tire rule. Use whatever you want and change as often as you want. Also, you start on the tires you set your starting position with, not what you used for fastest round 2 lap.

Hockey: decrease the size of the goalie pads

Basketball: reduce the number of timeouts in the last part of the game
