Scott's one of my favorites! Great player and vocalist, great guy and quite the student and teacher of blues history. If you haven't seen Scott, it's a wonderful concert.

Here he is playing, "Walkin' Blues." Music starts around 2:35, if you don't like blues history...

Default Thanks

Thanks, Kerbie -- Scott's a rare fellow indeed. I have really tried to invite great people to these concerts and Scott raises the bar for all others. NOt just his music but his social conscience as well. Blues history is littered with important messages that fuel today's public debates.

This is a great opportunity. AGFer Boone hosted what turned out to be almost a complete Scott Ainslie weekend a little over a year ago in South Carolina. Trekked on down and had a great time. Fingerstyle workshop in the afternoon followed by a wonderful dinner and a fantastic house concert by Scott. All of that was preceded the evening before by dinner at Boone's with Scott and an evening of playing guitar with Scott and Boone and a lot of storytelling. Just great fun. Came home with CDs, pics, and inspiration and memories. Will have to do some serious re arranging of the social calendar to make this work, but it should be great. Will work on it.

Default Lover tyo have you

Jeff -- Sorry, no workshop but I am sure Scott will be around before the show, during intermission, and after the show to chat. I have hosted 10 of the concerts and I have a great feeling about Scott and his show. I have seen him once before and I know him the Swannanoa Gathering. I'd love to have you (Jeff) join us. Email me if you need help with local travel/hotel/accommodations/etc.

Default Nearby

There are some very excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. The Riverfront Mansion is a short walk to a bridge to City Island and the Hilton & Crowne Plaza are less than 2 blocks walk. We refer everyone to the Manor on Front B&B or the City House B&B. Both excellent and nearby. Surprisingly, Harrisburg has a nice, but small, downtown nightlife.

Tim

Working on re arranging things and making a weekend out of it. Your good feeling is going to be right on the money. I have seen Scott at Westminster at least 3 times in addition to the experience in South Carolina. Scott can play, Scott can sing, Scott knows his music, and he is a great communicator. It will be special.

Jeff -- Let me know if you need help with local recommendations and accommodations. I hope your schedule works out. Still plenty of seats - but that will change.
