Blue, congrats on your Cargo. Great axe for the outdoors. Record some In Situ Blues for us. Or maybe a Backdirt Ballad? Nothing better than strumming a guitar after a long day troweling and sifting. What type of site is it? I was a shovel bum back in the day, miss it terribly.

Sadly nothing too exciting. I will actually be performing oversight on other archaeologists who are documenting a site that is being destroyed during a remediation action. Nothing like standing around watching other people work!

...and I prefer my sites wet! I'm a nautical archaeologist so I do most of my diggin underwater! ...though I have certainly dug my share of test pits too!

Cheers,

Blue

Thanks for the well wishes all...I'll be sure to post up a video once I've gotten for comfortable with the Cargo.

Cheers,

Blue

Well, that shouldn't take very long.

Congratulations, Blue. I'm pretty sure you'll really enjoy the guitar. It surprised the heck out of me the first time I picked one up. It's a pleasure to play… maybe the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. Your dig sounds exciting too… hope the music adds to the fun! Welcome back.

I'm glad my Cargo is going to someone who is so enthusiastic about it! The idea of selling it off at the upcoming guitar show was disheartening - all my instruments are my children (after a fashion.)

Well the Cargo landed on Tuesday and thanks to the excellent packing by HeavyDuty she arrived in fine form. I had it shipped to work so I promptly opened the box, did a quick tune up, and played some fingerpickin blues for my co-workers as they sat around the lunch table. A number of people commented on the excellent tone and volume coming from such a small guitar...and they were even more impressed when I told them it was made of carbon fiber.

Once I got her home I put on a new set of Elixir Nanowebs PBs (because that's what I had handy) and have been enjoying this guitar thoroughly for the last few nights. My fieldwork schedule has been moved up a couple of days so I will be taking the cargo on the road tomorrow and torturing my neighbors in the hotel with picking at night...

I'm quite excited to have a guitar with me...particularly one that I won't have to be concerned about leaving in the car if needs be.

I promised a video...and it will happen...but I may need to wait until I'm back on dry ground after next week.

Cheers,

Blue

Congrats blue. The Cargo is awesome and imo, the best looking of all the travel guitars in a little Les Paul kinda way. Enjoy it, especially all the places you can take it worry free.

Congrats Blue!!! Maybe we should start a song lyric about your cargo?
I'll start... "I'm digging with my cargo, underneath the sea..."
"Searching for the treasure, where could it be???"
Well...That's enough from me...LOL

Me and my Cargo,
Gonna sail to Key Largo.
