Default Fate and the WS3000

After thinking about it for a week today I decided to look for a RainSong WS3000 to have in memory of my late wife - she always loved it when I strummed a 12. I posted a WTB ad here tonight, and not more than ten minutes later one popped up in a FS ad. The seller saw my WTB, contacted me and we made the deal all within a half hour of my posting the WTB.

Fate, or what?

That is a neat story especially considering the rarity of RainSong 12ers. Congratulations Heavy!

Congratulations! That's a wonderful story.
I hope to eventually get a Rainsong 12 string.

It arrived today. I won't get a chance to do anything with it until tomorrow night but my first impression is... yowza! Every bit as impressive as the WS3000 I saw years ago. CF makes an incredible canvas for a twelve.

Congrats on the new guitar! Fate indeed for it to happen that quick. I'd really love to play one of those. Let us know your impressions when you've had a chance to get to know that beauty - pics would be nice too.

Congrats. I have several 12'ers and often it's my WS3000 that goes out in public. Liberating in it's ability to handle temp and humidity changes; stays in tune; feels good in the hand; and has a very pleasing voice. People (including other players) often ask " do you think it's as good as your wood guitars?". They just don't get it. I love all my children.

The WS3000 is impressing the heck out of me. I have a set of locking Gotoh SG360s on order (direct replacement for the OEM Gotohs), after they show up I'm going to try a new set of Nanowebs to see how I get on with them.

I just strung up my "new" WS-3000 with 80/20 EXPs.

Normally I would use PBs, but the fellow who sold me mine was kind enough to throw in a couple sets of the 80/20 EXPs.

I am really liking these strings. Currently have it tuned down 1/2 step.

The Shorty has PB nanowebs.

Also, you have failed to provide pictures of your new guitar.

Man, I can't tell you how upset I am at myself for not buying an RS 12 when I had the chance. Ted had like ten of them, including a burst dreadnought that had a heavenly voice. When Ted got one for himself I should have known it was time. Enjoy that 12 heavyduty.
