Default Fender FV-1 vs FV-3 Electric Violin

Ok, I have played acoustic violin for over 20 years andI want to try out an electric violin for the fun of it! I know the Fender is not the highest quality, but it seems to be decent for the price. I don't want to spend too much. I just want to play around with effect pedals and the like!
My question is what is the difference between the Fender FV-1 vs FV-3? Is it just one is solid color and the other is a flamed, sunburst?

Thanks for your help!!

Niceties:

I took a quick look at the specs. From what I can gather the 3 has choice woods. But the other difference is that the 3 has a hexagonal bow (stiffer), a deluxe case and a tailpiece with integral fine tuners. I don'tknow Iif these differences are worth the price to you, as the bow and tailpiece could always be added by you to the1.

Hope this helps. Regards, Bill.
