Anyone using a Tascam DR-07 mk2?
I'm in the market for a portable recorder and have been doing some reading comparing the Zoom h2n and the Tascam DR-07mk2. The Tascam is more affordable at the moment and gets good reviews. I like the onboard multi track functionality that is offered on the DR-07. Does anyone know if this unit can also be used as a USB Mic? Meaning can I plug it into my laptop and record multiple tracks using my DAW? I know you can with the Zoom but couldnt find anything mentioned with the Tascam unit.

Hi,
I'm bumping this thread up because I'm also interested in the tascam. Theo

In the research I've done I've found that Zoom in various products, the Roland R26, and some Sound Devices recorders work as audio interfaces (and in the case of those with built-in mics, as USB mics).
I know of no Tascam recorder with this capability. Fran
