It sounds like Static noise (White Noise).

It makes the sound when the volume Knob goes over 1/3 of being maximum sound.

Even when i play with Tweeter it still does.

May want to try a line conditioner. Sometimes your outlet is the cause of all kinds of noise.

Don't turn the gain up so high. Try a line conditioner.

Another possible cause of noise is a weak preamp battery in the guitar, which gets the gain structure out of whack.

Make sure the circuit your amp is on doesn't have engaged light-dimmer rheostats or kitchen motors on it, too.

Well i use k&k trinity pure mini and solstice preamp.

No matter when its plugs in to guitar or not, it makes hissing sound.

What kind of line conditioner would you recomand, i went to best buy and they recomand monster power green surge product.

They said it will reduce the hissing sound but it costs me 100 bucks.

I want to hear another option.

Also, i did some research and seems like people have similar problem with fishman solo hissing static noise and even fishman compnay recognize it and guide me to do some thing that i could not possibly doing by my self.

Here is the post.

Read the review by f aguilar, fifth paragraph

I'm not an amplification engineer and i can not do this by my self.

Thanks

I'm not a fan of Monster products, for ethical reasons. This link contains probably the best FOAD letter ever written.

Furman and other companies make "power conditioners" but these are usually for line level sources, and not recommended for amp sources where one wants lots of power on tap, although the SoloAmp, I'm sure, doesn't have a high current drawing amp section, so maybe that would fix it.

But your informative link with the DIY solution would be very simple, and hopefully, inexpensive as well, for someone who knows solid state op amp circuitry. I'd try this fix first.

Hold on now folks...... ILoveMartins I've just watch a video of you with the the Hi eq, the Input Gain control and Master volume control turned ALL THE WAY up. Dimed.

You don't need a line conditioner or new cables or anything in between. You just need to stop doing that. Any amp on planet earth that you opened the pre amp. poweramp and active hi eq all the way up is gonna make that noise and more often than not much, much worse.

You couldn't get away with that kinda testing with high end stereo gear without noise. There is no problem here.

What does Fishman tech support say?
I assume you have called them?
They have been beyond supportive when I have called them.

This is exactly correct.

You are simply using the gear in an incorrect fashion.

What Joseph said. There's nothing wrong here except how your are using it. Turn the master volume all the way down. Turn the gain to about half. Same on your guitar. Set the treble, mid, and bass controls about half. Slowly bring the master volume up. You can tweak it, but there's no way you can turn everything up to max and NOT get noise.

I tried lowering down gain knob and master volume and play with tweater on the back. It still make hissing sound and some people acknowledge the problem.

I'm not an amp tech and can not follow the step on the link.

I will try to use line conditioner and hope to see get better.

Do what you must ILoveMartins but the noise I hear AND I also hear dissipate in your video as you turn the master output down is typical hi-end hiss. It's common. The "hi" eq control of a SoloAmp is an active circuit. You've got it turned all the way up. It's gonna hiss. It's doing what it's design to do. That's an active tone control going into a low powered power amp feeding a piezo element. Piezo elements have a tendency (especially when grabbed by the throat and retched around) to make that sound.

I'm sitting here (right this moment) next to my SoloAmp and if I turn the hi eq and master volume all the way up, as you have in your video, it hisses like a banshee. Even if I turn the master and gain down to usable levels yet leave the hi eq dimed as you have, it still hisses.

Throwing more money at it is not going to solve a problem that's not there in the first place.

Companies like Monster get rich off of the technical ignorance/unsophistication of end users, Joseph.
