Default Guitars in stock - June

Sponsors (luthiers/builders/manufacturers), what guitars do you currently have in stock for sale or available from a dealer?

(Note: Sponsors only, please. I'll unstick this thread every month and start a new one to keep things fresh.)

I have 2 PL1s in stock. This is my homage to the 100 year old Gibson L1. I've been obsessed with this guitar for quite some time, it's sound and look are such a throw back to the early blues era. I've braced this version but with a 15' top radius compared to the "normal" 28' radius to give it more of an arch top look. I’ve carved a thinner, more playable neck I've also made a deeper body (similar to the "Nick Lucas Special" era of Gibson) for a bigger and fuller sound that is often missing from small bodied guitars.

Western Red Cedar top, Sapele back and sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony finger board and bridge, Black Pearl inlay, aged Nickel hardware and a French Polish. Removable black Maple pick guard. Custom TKL brown alligator case.

$2100 plus shipping costs.

I have a thread going that has some phone videos of me playing as well as Sean Hayes.

Great idea for a thread, J. R.! I love hearing about what fabulous instruments that our sponsors have lying around waiting for a good home.

Nice work, as always, Mark.

Best,
Jayne

I had the fantastic opportunity to see this amazing guitar in person yesterday. I have seen some really nice guitars in my days, but this one made my mouth drop!!! As good as it looks in the pictures, it is 100 times more impressive in person. That back is truly 3 dimensional, you have to touch it to prove to yourself that it is a flat surface!!!! The absolute best thing is WHEN YOU MOVE THE GUITAR FROM SIDE TO SIDE OR END TO END JUST A HALF AN INCH, THE FIGURE MOVES AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing. It reminded me of one of those pictures that changes as you look at it from different angles. Then the DETAILS, the curves, the Cocobolo trim, the end graft, GEEZ it is all amazing.

Let me just say, I also think it is a steal for the price and am a little surprised that Mark did not price this higher. The sound is a nice full balanced sound, not anything like the bright sound maple gets maligned for. It is a steal for someone, and some of the most amazingly beautiful wood you have EVER seen.

addendum: I am not a paid spokesman for Hatcher Guitars hahaha!

I just wrote about that Maple Hatcher in the Hatcher 2016 thread, but will echo Tom here...fantastic guitar, mesmerizing to look at, light and easy to play, great sound. It was very hard letting Mark take the guitar home. For this price and at this level, the guitar really is worth more than every penny he is asking for it.

Thanks for the kind words Mike and Tom. It was great seeing you both last weekend. For anyone interested in a lot more details I've posted this guitar on the Marketplace section and loaded it up with a lot more info.

Thought this guitar looked familiar. There were a number of amazing guitars at the gathering and this one stood out. In addition to the amazing sound and looks it played like butter. Thanks for the opportunity to play a true work of art.

I have three guitars hanging in Stevie Coyle's shop, Mighty Fine Guitars. They're all Brazilian Rosewood and they're all about the same price, something near $11K. I'll briefly describe them here, but each has a page on my site linked to the serial number.

The oldest is a Dread, made in 2010, and is
#1860110
. I am not best known for my dreads, but I have made 7, I think, and this is the last one sat this point. Straight grained quarter sawn BRW and Adi.

Then there is a 000 sized 13 fretter with a 1 13/16 nut. This guitar exceeds expectations for most (all so far, but I am attempting modesty) reviewers, and it is amazing to me that I still own it. It is #2150112.

Finally, my favorite of these, an FT-0-JB/2 #2290313. This guitar does not merely exceed expectations, it is a true Napoleon in that it does not know it is a small guitar. It is also somewhat more modern that the other two as it has a soundport and mild MultiScale, while still cleaving to vintage aesthetics.

This picture of the back speaks to the quality of the wood, at least for those who understand the language:

Very nice, but the link "It is #2150112." seems dead.
