Default Mr. Jefferson's Blues

A quick and dirty recording, the vibe is there though inspite of the background noise... I was practicing on the old trusty Washburn and the inspiration hit me to record this. I'll be sure to get a quiet moment this weekend and re-record with the Gibson (probably wine assisted, lol), so consider this a rough draft. It's a fun song though and I couldn't resist.

Mr. Jefferson's Blues (Woody Mann cover):

Thanks Bob!

Did you check out that ragtime book that Tbeltran recommended in my thread on finger style books? I might order it later.

Not yet, but I plan to. I love listening to rags. The only one I've learned so far is Mark Hanson's Over and Out Rag, and I'd love to learn some others.

If I could play 10 per cent of the tunes in the books I've now collected I'd have something.

Tell me about it. You should see my stack of "gotta finish/learn" notation and tabs.

In a moment of weakness I also ordered the ragtime book, even though it is likely well beyond me. Cheaper than GAS!

You’re right you really need a glass of wine for that kind of old school blues recording, very cool old school vibe !
