Default Drive (Cars)

I dont know why I thought to try to folk-ify a Cars song, But I hope it works. I recorded this into an Apogee MiC into my iPad camera/video. And I hope you like it. I feel like I am dirtying up the AGF lately. The quality of posts is frankly awesome.

Now we’re talking. Nice job, Sal. Another one that I wasn’t familiar with. I’m getting the feeling that I dozed off for about 20 years somewhere along the line.

The J45 sounds good. Works great with your voice. Nice and articulate. What strings did you end up with?

Again, nice work.

Roger

Awesome job. Really nicely done on a Cars classic.

I love the beat on this!

Also: A couple of summers ago, we were playing a private party for a bunch of VERY drunk women. We ended the night with this song played with banjo and Rhodes.

None of the drunk women got the joke.

I have to say this, Sal. I have been waiting for you to cover this song for like a year now. I thought if anyone could cover this song, which I generally don't like covers BTW, it would be you and you didn't disappoint! Nice, your voice is perfect for a song like this.

Absolutely enjoyed this. Tired recording this years ago but scrapped it because mine sounded boring unlike your unique uptempo take. Vocals and playing are great. I’m a fan.
