Another fine looking guitar. I love the way the color on the back and sides turned out! It seems like you are batting 1000 these days John.

Thought I'd just share a tiny bit. Steven got the guitar didn't have much time with it at first as he was headed back out on tour the same day he got the guitar, but two words he said were:

"BLOWN AWAY!"

I'll get more comments, and pictures and such sometime soon.

J - let me know when you are free and we'll go together!

Or, plan on coming to the gathering (and bring the new wife) and John will be there!

Great guitar, JM. Really a fun guitar!!

Phil

Very cool stuff John!! When I play my SD-43 or when any guitar player I know plays my SD-43 BLOWN AWAY is the same reaction everyone seems to get so I can see why SCC is thrilled with it!

I am, frankly, not really surprised at this comment... Every time I pull one of my Mayes' out of the case I am:

"BLOWN AWAY!"

I am recording some tracks with the L-32 and the MJ-55 and will get these up once I've finalized the entire cut.

I'm using single LDC (Wunder CM7) and stereo SDC's (Mercenary KM69's) and I cannot get these guitars to sound anything less than amazing in my humble little tracking studio... (My journeyman chops, notwithstanding! ) These are very revealing mics, and the Mayes both record superbly...

I , too, look forward to my SCC-clone Mayes SD-43 to turn up next year sometime. These are all amazing guitars!

Best,

Mike
