Another happy customer with the K&K into a PADI, I also add a TC Electronics HOF reverb to the chain and it made it sound even better. I tried the K&K Pure Preamp, belt clip preamp and I prefer the PADI.

i like the padi.But I find it was never quite right with my k&k equipped d28s.
Just all ways seemed like a compromise as like "Good enough" instead of "Great!!"
So after reading about all the impedance mismatch..(K&k is 1meg..different than most)stuff.
I decided to try the kk pure xlr..which is built for their pups.
Anyone want to buy a PADI??
I found the tone superior and the headroom much better..fewer knobs to turn.
and a smaller footprint..a no brainer for me.
