Default SOLD Gerald sheppard Madrigal Grand Auditorium

I have put this guitar on sale before and pulled it as I liked it too muxh to sell but now I have a much more expensive guitar to pay for and circumstances right now mean that I need to sell something in order to raise the balance that I need to cover that purchase.

So here is a 2012 Gerald sheppard made Madrigal GA model with venetian cutaway and a ryan style arm bevel. Master grade Swiss spruce top and madagascar rosewood back and sides. Optional fingerboard extension. Cedar creek hard case. LR BAGGS anthem pickup. Other than light marks from playing with fingers purely on the finish, I don't see any damage on the guitar.

I have always had many problems putting up photos on the sell forum as I'm probably the definition of a techno challenged Luddite when it comes to Photo sharing websites so if anyone is interested in the guitar, i can take any photo of the guitar that is needed and email it to you so that you can see its condition for yourself.

Price is $SOLD. I am not aware of any other recent sheppard guitar of similar specs on sale anywhere on the net that can match this price.

In my opinion, Gerald builds the BEST acoustic guitars on the planet......period. If I could afford his creations I would own 3 of them right now. If this were a Grand Concert sized guitar, I would sell my Charis, Bourgeois, and Martin to fund the purchase. Best of luck with the sale .

Thanks lightfoote for your comments. This is indeed a great guitar- very open sounding and responsive with a terrific bass. A guitsr shop owner who played it asked me if it had been played a lot because it was so open sounding it seems that way. I reckon that it is more testament to the builder's skill.

Well, I hope it is just the time of day if the answer to this question is too obvious...I just can't think of what you might mean by "Optional fingerboard extension". What exactly is that? Do you have a picture of it?

This guitsr is not in the USA.

What i meant by fingerboard extension is the fretboard extension. It is shown in the two Madrigal guitars shown on this Web page http://sheppardguitars.com/models.htm

The one on the left is without the fretboard extension whereas the one on the right has that option.

My guitar has that option.

I would also mention that I store the guitsr in its cedar creek case when not played and it always has multiple sets of Humidipaks inside. As well the guitar is stored in a room which has a dehumidifier set to 45 % rH which is switched on as often as I am around to monitor it.

I played one of Sheppard's guitars at Dream Guitars last summer along with a number of other excellent instruments. It stood out above the others and was priced accordingly. This is a fantastic bargain for a fantastic guitar.

Thanks Jay lynch for chipping in with that recollection.

Anyway, Sheppard guitars don't come by very often so don't miss out on this one!

More photos of the bevel closeup and the side of the neck of the guitar.

And here's the headstock.
